Atlanta, Stone Mountain, and Lithonia RR
Title:  Atlanta, Stone Mountain, and Lithonia RR
Description:  The Atlanta, Stone Mountain, and Lithonia RR was a private rail (and one time common carrier) operation for quarries in the Stone Mountain and Lithonia areas. By 1990, the ASM&L had been reduced to a short spur servicing the Davidson Mineral quarry in Lithonia. The trackage is intact today, but switched by CSX. This 1939 vintage SW-1, the first diesel-electric on the Central of Georgia, is now preserved in Savannah at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum. Date approximate
