If I have read the maps correctly, this UP train is coming south off of the "Spine Line" that Rock Island and the Milwaukee Road shared into KC. The UP owns the former Rock Island half (through C&NW) and CPKC is the successor to the Milwaukee Road. This also could've been a transfer run between the two lines, though it seems to be overpowered for that. |
